| Sunderland’s Stephane Sessegnon was the hero of the hour again as he scored the winner against Middlesbrough in extra time in the Tyne & Wear side 4th round replay FA Cup derby. |
| |
| Middlesbrough didn’t take the game lying down and were equal to the challenge they had been set after going in at the break a goal down thanks to a superb strike by Sunderland’s Jack Colback from the edge of the penalty box, and levelled the game with a 57th minute goal from Lukas Jutkiewicz. |
| |
| Middlesbrough continued to push and took the game to the wire forcing it into extra time and it took until the 113th minute before the Benin International netted following a a mixture of skill to drive into the box and good fortune when the ball found its way back to him. |

| Millwall managed to break their Southampton FA Cup curse tonight when they secured a victory deep into stoppage time thanks to a superb strike by substitute Liam Feeney. Millwall have met Southampton on five occassions in the FA Cup previously and have failed every time to get past them. |
| |
| It actually looked like it was going to be 6th time unlucky when Southampton nudged ahead with only 13 minutes left on the clock. |
| |
| However, Millwall dug deep and immediately replied with an equaliser from Danny N’Guesson before Feeney came off the bench to win it and see them securely into the 5th round. |

| Final Score: Southampton 2 – Millwall 3 |
 |
| Arsenal skipper, Robin van Persie put the ball into the net twice from the penalty spot to secure the Gunners a place in the 5th round of the FA Cup. |
|
| It wasn’t all plain sailing though. Richard Dunne and Darren Bent both scored in the first half sending Aston Villa into the dressing rooms at half time with a two goal lead. |
|
| However, shortly after the break, Dunne undid his good work by fowling Aaron Ramsey in the box leading to the Arsenal captain’s first spot kick. |
|
| Only two minutes later, and with only 60 minutes played, Theo Walcott had equalised following a great run into the box. His shot was inititially blocked by Alan Hutton only for the ball to ricochet back again off of Walcott into the net. |
|
| Laurent Koscielny then made a run down the left hand side and into the box and was caught from behind by Bent. Referee Mike Dean pointed to the spot again and van Persie put away his second spot kick of the day. |
